Charts
Introduction
One of Wall Street's most powerful features is its charting techniques. Wall Street works hard to provide accurate, up-to-date1, and reliable chart data. Wall Street's charts range from data from a single day to data from the past two years. A wide variety of technical analysis tools can be applied to any full-screen chart giving you the information you need on-the-go.
Editing
Editing the settings of a chart is easy. To edit a chart, tap
to be brought to the Chart Settings page. From this page, Wall Street allows you to reset the chart, removing any previously configured indicators.
Adding Indicators
To add an indicator, simply go to Chart Settings, and select the indicators you would like to add. However, there is only one lower indicator allowed at a time, so choosing to add a lower technical indicator when one already exists on the chart will cause an alert to appear. Wall Street will ask whether or not the new indicator should be added anyway to replace the old one.
Swapping Charts
Chart swapping makes it easy to compare the charts of different stocks while keeping all of a chart's settings and indicators the same. To swap a chart, just tap the center of the chart twice, and the symbol selector pops up, allowing a new symbol to be chosen for the next chart. To hide the symbol selector, either choose a new stock or tap the chart outside the symbol selector. Once you tap a new symbol, a new chart slides into view with the same time range and technical indicators that were on the previous chart.
Configuring Indicators
Configuring technical indicators in Wall Street is quick and easy. However, every indicator is different. Some technical indicators have few or no settings to configure such as the Volume indicator. On the other hand, for most settings, the number of visible indicators as well as the different constant properties for each indicator can be configured. Every time an indicator is configured, make sure that the indicator's status is set to On, and to save any changes, tap Save or Update for the changes to appear on the chart.
Chart Range
Charts can be drawn for ranges of 1 day, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, and 2 years. To change the range of a chart, if the range toolbar is hidden, just tap the area of the chart where lower technical indicators are drawn, and the range toolbar will appear making it easy to choose a new range for the chart.
Reordering
The symbol selector in the chart allows for more than just chart swapping. Stocks can also be reordered within your portfolios. To move a stock, simply drag the stock to the desired place, and the stock will be reordered in the portfolio.
