QuickQuote
Introduction
Sometimes you may need to look up a stock without adding it to any of your portfolios first. QuickQuote makes this possible and easy.
Searching
Searching for stocks in QuickQuote is quick and simple. Just tap the search bar near the top of the screen, and start typing either the symbol or the name of the company. Wall Street will search for possible matches to every query and display the most likely matches first. To see all the matches, just tap Search in the lower left-hand corner to make the keyboard disappear.
Stocks
Once you've found the stocks you're looking for, just tap it, and the financial data for that stock will be presented in the familiar format from the portfolios tab. Quotes, news, market data, and charts all function the same as they would in the portfolios tab.
Adding to Portfolios
When viewing a stock from QuickQuote, there is an extra feature that allows you to add the stock you're viewing to any of your portfolios. Just tap
in the upper left-hand corner of the screen, and then choose the portfolio that should add the stock.
Portfolios
Once you have added a stock to a portfolio in Wall Street, QuickQuote stores the data for the new stock on your iPhone, and the new stock will be immediately visible in its respective portfolio in the portfolios tab.
